Spain - Caves Of Drach

The Caves of Drach is a tourist attraction situated on the island of Mallorca. Dragons feature in many Mallorcan fairy tales as there a thought to be a sign of strength and a defense against intruders, and the caves are known by locals as Dragon Caves. The cave shave three main chambers, Cueva Negra(Black Cave), Cueva Blanca(White cave) and Cueva Luis Salvator(Luis Salvator Cave).
The caves also home to one of the worlds largest subterranean lakes. Visitors to the caves can take a boat ride to the lake, which is famous for it's limestone formations, including stalactites hanging down from the roof of the cave and stalagmites protruding from the rock face. One part of the cave is called Le Vanta(the window), it offers spectacular views of the lake from a birdseye view. Transportation to the caves is easy as many of the resorts and hotels on the island offer a bus journey to the caves.

Los Hervideros is another great attraction as it is a series of caves and blow holes, which will be an exciting place for the children to see.
