Canada - Niagra Falls

Niagara Falls is one of the most popular tourist destinations in North America, made up of two separate parts, Horseshoe Falls, on the Canadian side and American Falls on the US side. Although not the highest waterfall in the world (that record goes to the Angel Falls in Venezuela), they move a staggering volume of 168,000 cubic metres (219,600 cubic yards) of water per minute over a drop of 51m (167ft), making them one of the natural wonders of the world.
Over the years many people have tried daring stunts over the falls, like tightrope walking. One man even got into a barrel and dropped over the edge. The first human stunt was carried out in 1829 by a man named Sam Patch.
The town surrounding Niagara Falls, a celebrated North American honeymoon destination, offers a wealth of visitor activities including a casino, as well as land and boat tours of the falls.
